🎄 Community Spotlight

Hesperia Christmas Tree Lighting — Civic Plaza Park

Hesperia Christmas Tree Lighting at Hesperia Civic Center Park with holiday lights and community crowd
Hesperia Civic Plaza Park — Christmas Tree Lighting night.

🎅 Quick local highlight: yesterday was the Hesperia Christmas Tree Lighting at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park — and it was a well-attended, fun family event. There were tons of food trucks, photo booths with Santa (and yes… the Grinch too), and the always-popular local band The High D Boyz had the place buzzing.

Events like this are one of the reasons I love living and working in the High Desert — it’s a great reminder that we’ve got a strong community vibe here. If you were there too, I’d love to hear what your favorite part was! 🎁✨

Tenant-Occupied (Income Potential) Single-Story • Built 1972 Attached 2-Car Garage Quiet Neighborhood • Easy Commuter Access

Welcome to 2013 Rushmore Drive — a charming 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath single-story home offering about 962 sq ft of comfortable living on a ~6,480 sq ft lot. The floor plan is functional and easy to live in, and the property includes an attached garage plus a spacious fenced yard — great for long-term low-maintenance enjoyment.

One standout feature: this home is tenant-occupied and being offered with tenants in place, making it a solid option for buyers who want to add a well-maintained property to their portfolio. You’re also close to shopping, dining, and commuter routes, with parks and schools nearby. Sale is subject to existing tenancy — please do not disturb occupants.

💡 Talk Strategy: Tenant-in-Place + Investor Numbers + Next Steps

  • We’ll review the lease terms, rent, deposits, and tenant responsibilities so you understand the day-one picture.
  • We can connect you with lender options for investment financing (or discuss conventional paths if your plan is future occupancy after tenancy ends).
  • We’ll map out a clean due diligence checklist (condition, systems, expenses, insurance, and local rental considerations).
  • If we recommend a lender, it’s only because they’ve earned our trust — you’re always welcome to use your own lender. Our priority is making sure whoever you choose can get you to the finish line on time.

Sale is subject to existing tenancy; please do not disturb occupants. Loan programs, rates, and terms are subject to change and buyer qualification. Always confirm current options with a licensed lender. Listing information deemed reliable but not guaranteed; subject to change without notice.

🍜 Local Business Spotlight — Yang Noodle House (San Bernardino / CSUSB Area)
Yang Noodle House in San Bernardino near CSUSB — noodle and rice dishes, dine-in or takeout

Yang Noodle House — Comfort-Food Noodles & Rice (Perfect After a CSUSB Run)

This week’s spotlight is Yang Noodle House off Kendall — a go-to spot when you want something warm, filling, and fast without feeling like “fast food.” I’ve been twice now, and the second time was a few weeks ago right after a listing appointment near Cal State San Bernardino — it hit the spot.

Their menu is loaded with noodle soups, stir-fried noodles, fried rice, vermicelli bowls, dumplings, and classic comfort plates — easy to grab for lunch, great for a casual dinner, and convenient for takeout when you’re running between appointments. If you’re in the area (or touring homes nearby), add it to your “try soon” list.

📍 15865 Bear Valley Rd, Hesperia, CA

💲 Offered at $1,500,000

🚀 Vacant & Ready Now 🔧 Perfect for Owner-Operator 📈 Investment Potential (~5% est.)

If you’ve been waiting for a “front row on Bear Valley” opportunity, this is it. This auto / flex shop sits on one of Hesperia’s busiest corridors with an estimated 52,000+ cars per day, bold signage, and easy in-and-out access. Purpose-built for service work and flex uses, it gives you the rare chance to own your shop instead of renting someone else’s—and still have room to grow.

  • 💨 Piped compressed air with multiple quick-disconnect stations for efficient workflow and faster turnarounds.
  • 🔊 Exterior compressor room keeps noise and heat outside, protects equipment, and frees up interior floor space.
  • Three roll-up bays, office, waiting area, and mezzanine—set up for service, sales support, or light flex use.
  • 3-phase power; approx. 3,048± SF on 0.7± ac with a secure, fenced yard for inventory, fleet, or display.
  • Strong interest from tenants—ideal for an owner-user now, with future landlord upside if you decide to lease later.

Not just an auto shop — imagine:

  • Off-road / powersports HQ for RZRs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and quads with indoor service and outdoor display.
  • Motorcycle or small-engine shop (Harleys, metrics, lawn & garden, generators) leveraging the bays and power.
  • Boat or PWC sales & service hub with secure yard for trailer parking and seasonal storage.
  • BBQ / outdoor kitchen superstore using the shop as a showroom and the yard for grills, smokers, and patio displays.
  • Performance / speed shop, wraps, tint, or detail studio built around visibility, traffic, and easy access.
  • Contractor / fleet HQ (HVAC, plumbing, landscape, delivery) with office, shop, and fenced vehicle yard.

Traffic counts, zoning, and use options subject to buyer verification.

🎄 Holiday Lights Spotlight

Over-the-top local displays that make the High Desert sparkle.

Phelan’s 30,000-Light Christmas House

Front view of Chris's house on Del Rosa Rd in Phelan covered in Christmas lights and decorations

If you’re looking for a true “wow” holiday lights experience without leaving the High Desert, you’ll want to add this one to your list. My friend Chris in Phelan decorates his home with nearly 30,000 lights every year — and it’s not just a static display. The lights are computer-controlled and synchronized to music, with animations and patterns that change from season to season. He starts putting everything up in July (yes, really) because that’s how long it takes to wire, test, and fine-tune the show.

The house sits on a stretch of 5-acre lots along a well-graded dirt road, just the second parcel in from the pavement, so there’s plenty of space to pull over, stop, and really take it in. The display grows or changes a bit every year, and pictures barely do it justice when the lights are dancing in sync with the music. Fun fact: my personal contribution is a 12-foot lighted tree that I gave him last year, which is now part of the show. It’s one of those passion projects that makes our local community feel extra special during the holidays. ✨

📍 Address: 6556 Del Rosa Rd, Phelan, CA
⏰ Lights On: Daily, approximately 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (holiday season)

The road is wide and there’s room to park along the shoulder, but please still drive slowly, use your hazards if you stop, and keep things safe for other visitors enjoying the show.

💡 Did You Know? – Your “Local Market” Can Change Street by Street

Prices and competition don’t move the same way everywhere — even in the same city. 📊🏡

Market trend graphic showing real estate pricing and activity changes over time
Market stats are helpful — but the real story is in your neighborhood, price range, and timing.

When people ask, “How’s the market?” the honest answer is: it depends on where and what. A 3-bed home in one neighborhood can be getting multiple offers while a similar home just a few miles away sits longer — simply because inventory, buyer demand, and pricing trends are different in that pocket.

That’s why I keep a close eye on prices, activity, and neighborhood shifts so you don’t have to. Whether you're planning your next move or just curious, having the right info can make all the difference. Send me a message anytime and I’ll happily break it down for you — quick, clear, and no pressure. 📩

🏁 Hometown History

Surprising stories and little-known facts from the communities we call home.

Ontario Edition

Aerial view of Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario, California during the Cal Jam era

🤯 Wow fact: Ontario once had a massive, world-class racetrack nicknamed the “Indianapolis of the West” — the Ontario Motor Speedway. It opened in 1970 as a state-of-the-art “super speedway” built to host major racing events, and for a short window it put Ontario on the national map in a big way.

But here’s the part that surprises people: beyond the racing, the Speedway also became the site of legendary rock festivals — including California Jam (1974) and Cal Jam II (1978) — drawing hundreds of thousands of fans. And personally… I still remember those CalJam concerts when I was a kid. It’s wild to think that kind of “once-in-a-generation” event happened right here in Ontario.

Even crazier: the Speedway’s run was short — it closed by the end of 1980 and eventually disappeared into new development. But the story didn’t vanish completely… Ontario still tips its hat to it with Ontario Motor Speedway Park — a subtle reminder that this city once hosted roaring engines, epic crowds, and a piece of California pop-culture history.
