This move-in-ready 4-bedroom, 2-bath Apple Valley home offers about 1,595 sq ft of single-story living on an approx. 0.66± acre lot. Inside you’ll find a user-friendly galley kitchen with upgraded appliances and ample cabinetry, a dining area just off the kitchen, and a cozy living room with fireplace for those cooler High Desert evenings. Ceiling fans in all rooms help keep things comfortable year-round.

Outside, an extended covered patio sets up nicely for BBQs, morning coffee, or sunset hangouts. One of the standout features here is the permitted 1,200± sq ft detached garage with power and water—ideal for a workshop, car storage, hobby space, or future studio use. There’s also rear RV parking, plus a Ring camera system inside and out for added peace of mind. Don’t forget to ask about the solar system when we talk strategy.

💡 Talk Strategy: Workshop Potential, RV Parking & Payment Planning

  • Curious how a home with a large detached garage and RV parking fits into your monthly budget? A local lender can walk you through the numbers.
  • Many buyers explore Conventional, FHA, or VA options, along with seller credits or temporary buydowns to keep payments comfortable.
  • Have a home to sell first? We can map out the timing, equity, and solar details so your move into this property is as smooth as possible.
  • If we recommend a lender, it’s only because they’ve earned our trust — you’re always welcome to use your own lender. Our priority is making sure whoever you choose can get you to the finish line on time.

Loan programs, rates, and terms are subject to change and buyer qualification. Always confirm current options with a licensed lender. Listing information deemed reliable but not guaranteed; subject to change without notice.

🌮 Local Business Spotlight — Mitla Cafe (San Bernardino)
Mitla Cafe on Mount Vernon Avenue in San Bernardino, a classic Route 66 Mexican restaurant

Mitla Cafe – Route 66 Legend & Community Staple Since 1937

If you love a restaurant with real history behind it, Mitla Cafe on San Bernardino’s West Side is a must-visit. Family-owned since 1937, this cozy Cal-Mex landmark started as a small lunch counter on historic Route 66 and grew into a beloved gathering place for generations of locals, travelers, and community leaders. Their famous tacos dorados (hard-shell tacos) have been drawing crowds for decades and even helped inspire the style of tacos that would later show up in fast-food chains—while Mitla stayed true to its roots with home-style plates, warm service, and that “everyone’s welcome here” neighborhood vibe. Today, you’ll still find multi-generation families sharing combination plates, menudo, enchiladas, and burritos in the same dining room where local history has been unfolding for nearly 90 years. It’s the kind of place that makes you proud to say, “This is in San Bernardino.”

  • 💨 Piped compressed air with multiple quick-disconnect stations for efficient workflow and faster turnarounds.
  • 🔊 Exterior compressor room keeps noise and heat outside, protects equipment, and frees up interior floor space.

  • 3-phase power; approx. 3,048± SF on 0.7± ac with a secure, fenced yard for inventory, fleet, or display.
  • Strong interest from tenants—ideal for an owner-user now, with future landlord upside if you decide to lease later.

Not just an auto shop — imagine:

  • Off-road / powersports HQ for RZRs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and quads with indoor service and outdoor display.
  • Motorcycle or small-engine shop (Harleys, metrics, lawn & garden, generators) leveraging the bays and power.
  • Boat or PWC sales & service hub with secure yard for trailer parking and seasonal storage.
  • BBQ / outdoor kitchen superstore using the shop as a showroom and the yard for grills, smokers, and patio displays.
  • Performance / speed shop, wraps, tint, or detail studio built around visibility, traffic, and easy access.
  • Contractor / fleet HQ (HVAC, plumbing, landscape, delivery) with office, shop, and fenced vehicle yard.

🎄 Holiday Lights Spotlight

Over-the-top local displays that make the High Desert sparkle.

Phelan’s 30,000-Light Christmas House

Front view of Chris's house on Del Rosa Rd in Phelan covered in Christmas lights and decorations

If you’re looking for a true “wow” holiday lights experience without leaving the High Desert, you’ll want to add this one to your list. My friend Chris in Phelan decorates his home with nearly 30,000 lights every year — and it’s not just a static display. The lights are computer-controlled and synchronized to music, with animations and patterns that change from season to season. He starts putting everything up in July (yes, really) because that’s how long it takes to wire, test, and fine-tune the show.

The house sits on a stretch of 5-acre lots along a well-graded dirt road, just the second parcel in from the pavement, so there’s plenty of space to pull over, stop, and really take it in. The display grows or changes a bit every year, and pictures barely do it justice when the lights are dancing in sync with the music. Fun fact: my personal contribution is a 12-foot lighted tree that I gave him last year, which is now part of the show. It’s one of those passion projects that makes our local community feel extra special during the holidays. ✨

📍 Address: 6556 Del Rosa Rd, Phelan, CA
⏰ Lights On: Daily, approximately 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (holiday season)

The road is wide and there’s room to park along the shoulder, but please still drive slowly, use your hazards if you stop, and keep things safe for other visitors enjoying the show.

🏘️ Hometown History

Surprising stories and little-known facts from the communities we call home.

Jurupa Valley Edition

Vintage biplane on the ramp at historic Flabob Airport in Jurupa Valley, California

🤯 Wow fact: Tucked along the Santa Ana River, Jurupa Valley is home to one of California’s oldest continuously operating airportsFlabob Airport. Opened in 1925, it was Riverside’s first civil airport and quickly became a quirky little hub for homebuilt and antique airplanes, long before “vintage aviation” was a thing.

Flabob also holds a unique place in aviation history as the home of Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1 — the very first EAA chapter in the world. From this small community airport in Jurupa Valley, a grassroots flying movement spread to thousands of pilots and chapters worldwide. So the next time you see a small plane overhead, remember: our city quietly helped shape the story of everyday people building and flying their own aircraft. ✈️
