🎯 THIS WEEK’S OPERATOR PLAY
Need a place to stage a fleet? This is a simple play: secure a truck yard footprint now, then decide whether to
add improvements (fencing, lighting, office/storage) as your operation grows.
|
📍 0 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307 Truck yard ready land on an industrial corner: 3.05 acres at the northwest corner of Waalew Rd & Ramona Rd. Flat, usable topography makes it an ideal footprint for a fleet operator who needs room for parking, staging, and maneuvering. 💡 Best Fit: Truck Yard / Fleet Staging Owner/users who need a yard for tractors, trailers, box trucks, flatbeds, or work vehicles — with a layout concept that can handle upwards of ~70 trucks (configuration dependent). Add fencing/lighting/striping and you’ve got a scalable operation base.
Truck capacity is a conceptual estimate and depends on circulation, striping, trailer length, setbacks, and any required improvements. Buyer to verify zoning, utilities, specific plan details, and allowable uses with the Town of Apple Valley. Listing information deemed reliable but not guaranteed; subject to change without notice. |

🏛️ Hometown HistoryNorco Edition
Here’s a Norco plot twist most people don’t know: this beautiful lakeside pavilion was part of the Lake Norconian Club, a luxury resort that opened in February 1929 — complete with a man-made ~58-acre lake and “spa-style” mineral-bath vibes. Then history took a hard turn. In December 1941, the U.S. Navy converted the resort into Naval Hospital Corona, where wounded sailors and Marines recovered and rehabilitated for years. When the hospital era ended in 1957, the property didn’t become a museum… it became the foundation for a state-run rehabilitation program that evolved into what many locals now call “Norco Prison” — the California Rehabilitation Center. One site. Three completely different lives. Quick takeaway: Lake Norconian went from glamorous getaway… to wartime healing… to a modern correctional facility. Question: If it ever reopens to the public, what would you want to tour first — the pavilion, the lake, or the original hotel building? Sources: National Register of Historic Places documentation for Lake Norconian Club and CDCR history of the California Rehabilitation Center. |
