We Rescue 4 Pawz is a local nonprofit doing incredible work in the High Desert to rescue, foster, and rehome dogs in need. Every week, we spotlight one of their adoptable pups right here in this newsletter.
And here's something personal: I now make a donation to We Rescue 4 Pawz every time I close a real estate deal. If you're ever looking for a cause to support, this one’s close to my heart. 💛
You can support their mission in a few simple (and meaningful) ways:
- 💸 Make a tax-deductible donation
- 📣 Share adoptable dogs on social media
- 🏡 Consider fostering or adopting a rescue dog

💡 Did You Know?
Thinking about buying a home this fall? 🍂 You might have a hidden advantage! With fewer buyers actively shopping, you often get less competition and more negotiating leverage. Sellers who list later in the year are often motivated to close before the holidays, which can work in your favor. Want to explore what’s available right now and take advantage of the seasonal shift? I can help you navigate the market with the timing on your side. 🏡✨ |
🏘️ Hometown HistorySurprising stories and little-known facts from the communities we call home.Highland Edition
In the early 1890s, Highland, California was one of the shining stars of Southern California’s “Citrus Empire.” 🌞🍊 The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway extended its famous “Kite-Shaped Track” through Highland to move thousands of crates of locally grown oranges to the East Coast — fruit that once carried Highland’s name on bright orange labels proudly stamped “Grown in the Highlands of San Bernardino County.” Along Palm Avenue, the sound of steam engines mixed with the scent of orange blossoms as dozens of packing houses worked day and night. These buildings — many still standing in Highland’s historic district — helped make California oranges world-famous and fueled the local economy for decades. So next time you drive down Palm Ave or pass an old brick warehouse, you’re looking at a living reminder of how Highland helped put the Inland Empire on the map. Mariposa Lodge Classic Car Show · Apple Valley
Took a spur-of-the-moment break yesterday and rolled into the classic car show at Mariposa Lodge—and wow, Apple Valley showed up! Gorgeous classics and hot rods everywhere, and I even spotted three versions of my dream car: the 1965 Shelby Cobra. 🐍🔥 Sometimes the best local moments are the unplanned ones. If you’re wondering whether to pop by an event on a whim… do it. You might catch something unforgettable. |
